Potty Training

Not to be outdone by the arrival of his little brother, Kai decided to fully take on his potty training while I was in the hospital.

 When he came to visit me and Noah he was very eager to show me how he can do it all on his own. I am very proud to say I am the mama of a potty trained two and a half year old.

Hard to believe my baby is now a big brother. Kai has adjusted to his new role really well. He was extremely excited to meet Noah and immediately wanted to touch and hold him. He's doing very well with treating Noah with gentle hands and has become my right hand man. He helps me with just about everything, from assisting on diaper changes, to washing the dishes and helping with the laundry, this kid does it all. 

  He kept telling Noah to wake up and play with him.

Noah River Ikeda

He's finally here!! After what seemed like an eternity baby Noah made his grand entrance and boy did he mean business. He came bursting out into the world with those little lungs blazing at 3:16 pm on Jan. 17, 2011.  Weighing in at 3 kilos (6 lbs 9 ounces) and measuring 51 cms (20 inches), this little dude just may be the feistiest Ikeda yet.

We celebrated 2011 with a bicycle ride and trip to a local temple, which just happens to be right next to a small playground. Here's our attempt at a family portrait before Kai was ready to peddle away.

 Sometimes I'm really amazed at just how grown up he looks and acts. He handles himself quite well on the big kid swings these days.
