Hanami

Setting out for our cherry blossom (sakura) viewing
We have yet to get our acts together to prepare a picnic and have a true hanami party...one of these years
My little love bug
He now loves loves loves to sit on Naoto's shoulders.
My children looking thrilled to have their photo taken.
Me starting to really over do it with my sakura obsession
Tag Team
Slightly wacky sakura paparazzi
Kai actually fell asleep on Naoto's shoulders
Our solution to this of course was to plop him in Noah's stroller and proceed to pose next to him
There was no stopping this one though
Once he was captured (which is not always an easy task) he had to be scooped up and carried out.

Happy Easter

Our resident Easter Bunny
Coloring eggs. Kai was really into this year and even donned his fancy cooking attire.
Um.. Noah not so much
He was a total mad scientist about the whole thing.
We always used liquid food coloring growing up, but I could only find powdered here. I think the colors were definitely more vibrant and the mess was a lot prettier.
Naoto has accused me of never appearing on this blog, so this posting is his moment to shine.
Kai's outstanding color creations, although in the end all the colors became a very lovely looking deep eggplant/sludgy dark grey.
Still not a happy camper- is it wrong that I find my child's crying to be rather hilarious?
Naoto trying to prove he really is a part of our family.
Concoctions being made
The awesome mess created, pretty sure the mess is what he enjoys the most.
Yeah we got it already. Love how Kai is completely oblivious to his wacky papa hamming it up.
Noah giving me the look of "seriously..no one cares that I'm crying over here."

Never loosing his intense focus, although Noah is screaming his little head off down below.
The finished product! Somehow they all mostly ended up pink.
His moody artist look.
Naoto once again really make sure everyone knows he actually does exist.
I know enough egg photos already, but he was so very proud of them.
Noah, who walked off in a huff, finally finding some solace through a bathtub facet. Whenever there is a moment of silence in our household you just know this kid is up to something.
